Tsumkwe

Tsumkwe is in a barren area of Namibia formerly known as Bushmanland.

Get in

There are no services such as garages dispensing gasoline. It is imperative that the person bring enough fuel and supplies. Usually Grootfontein is the last outpost for supplies before heading to Tsumkwe.

Get around

A four wheel drive vehicle is necessary for the difficult roads in the area.

See

The major attraction in the area is the Nyae Nyae Conservancy. This is a project with the local San people. It enables the tourist to learn about traditional San culture and practices.

There is also a large baobab tree in the vicinity.
